BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Saturday said instead of constituting a JPC to probe Commonwealth Games, 2G spectrum and Adarsh Housing Society scams, the UPA has started a blame game with Opposition parties over the issue.

"We have been demanding a JPC for impartial, in-depth and speedy inquiry into these scams. Instead of complying with the demand, the Congress-led Government has started a blame game with Opposition parties," he told reporters here.

The former BJP President held the Congress responsible for non-functioning of Parliament during the just-concluded winter session.

"It is the Government's responsibility to run the session. If the Prime Minister is ready to face the Public Accounts Committee then why is he shying away from the JPC?"

On a question about BJP leader Ananth Kumar's alleged connection with controversial corporate lobbyist Niira Radia, the former UP chief minister said evidence should be produced to support the claim.

Singh criticised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's reported statement, released by WikiLeaks, that "radicalised Hindu groups" could pose a bigger threat than terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba.

"By making such claims, the Congress leaders are not only following Pakistan's agenda, but also sabotaging the claims made by their own Government. The Congress President should have issued a clarification on the issue," he said.
