Now, ICICI bank and State Bank of India card holders can purchase metro tickets using their debit or credit cards, as the Mumbai Metro has come up with a ‘Combo Card’ deal, through which these cards can be used for both bank transactions and buying Metro tickets.

The combo card will have an in-built functionality of auto reload, which means the card will be recharged with Rs200 through Automatic Fare Collection gates once the balance goes down to Rs50.
The amount reloaded will be deducted from the credit card account or bank account linked with the card. “This is a first-of-its-kind facility introduced by any urban transport system in Mumbai. The commuters will enjoy seamless travel experience,” said a MMOPL spokesperson.
Commuters will have to approach their respective bank branches or kiosks at Metro stations to avail the service.
