The vice-principal of Parshvanath College of Engineering was allegedly beaten up by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists on Friday.

Six MNS activists were arrested by Kasarwadavli police station for unlawful assembly and defying prohibitory orders under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Bombay Police Act.
Some MNS activists had gone to the college to submit an application. But the college management and the activists got into a quarrel.
“Atul Deshpande, vice-principal of the college filed a complaint and we arrested six activists,” said deputy commissioner of police (zone V) Ashok Morale.
“We asked the college to stop admissions till their internal problems was solved.”
