Vikhroli spice factory rapped by pollution board

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has rapped spices manufacturing company, Everest Spices, for its shoddy efforts at controlling emissions of dust and spices from its Vikhroli factory.

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has rapped spices manufacturing company, Everest Spices, for its shoddy efforts at controlling emissions of dust and spices from its Vikhroli factory.

An inspection by the MPCB revealed that machines in the factory were leaving residue and the air ducts were in bad shape. Residents living behind the factory compound have been complaining of respiratory ailments.

“We will look to rectify whatever loopholes the MPCB has found out during its inspection,” said Satish Kumar, technical manager, Everest Spices.
