A woman's body was found inside a suitcase near Mumbai's Juhu beach on Thursday, police said.

A woman's body was found inside a suitcase near Mumbai's Juhu beach on Thursday, police said.

The body of the woman, believed to be around 30 years old, was found with cuts and bruises on her face. Her hands and legs had been tied together.

"We have sent the body for post-mortem. It is difficult to say anything before we have the report," Deputy Commissioner of Police MM Prasanna told reporters.

"We are trying to identify the woman. But it is difficult as her face is swollen," he added.
