Youngsters turn to Facebook to vent anger

Youngsters are taking to Facebook and forming discussion groups, to express their anger with the blasts that happened on Wednesday. A new group called Mumbai Blasts-2011 was formed to encourage conversations among the people of the city.

Youngsters are taking to Facebook and forming discussion groups, to express their anger with the blasts that happened on Wednesday. A new group called Mumbai Blasts-2011 was formed to encourage conversations among the people of the city.

The group had 47 members till Friday night. The people have been expressing their dissent by giving suggestions on what can be done to improve the situation.

“Some members are discussing the various means we can use to voice our concern,” said Rohan Ranade, 25, one of the administrators of the group.

The Facebook group, ‘I refuse to bounce back this time’ which had 100 members until Thursday reached the 900-member mark on Friday night.

“The group is considering holding protest marches outside police stations and protesting in non-violent forms.” Said Sonali Lambe, 26, one of the administrators of the group.

Ruchi Sharma, who has joined both the groups and is constantly reading the discussions, said that she is hoping these discussions do not die down after a week.
