What kind of music can we expect from the band?
We don’t categorise ourselves by stating a particular genre. We believe in mixing genres and sufi rock forms a big chunk of our music. Our audiences can expect everything, including Bollywood numbers.

How did the band come together?
We all came together to quench our thirst to experiment and decided to form our band, in 2009. We got to meet because of references from fellow musicians. And, here we are today, the six of us.http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2012/7/ehsaas-band.jpgWhy this name?

As we don’t follow any particular genre, we perform the numbers we feel for and can relate to. Hence the name.

What do you think people remember most about your gigs?
We think it’s the showmanship and the energy. We try and make good use of the stage and of as many props as possible during our performances.

Do you guys enjoy performing in Delhi? Why?
Even though we have performed all over the country, we think the audience of the city has been most supportive. No wonder our gigs are mostly sold out!

Where would you say is the best place in Delhi to make music?
This little place behind the Hauz Khas Village tomb.

If you could play at any gig in the world, where would it be?
We want to open for U2, as the band is a big inspiration.

Who is you biggest competitor?
No one, as our genre is really unique.
