Kailash adds that he has no reason to feel threatened by this trend. “I am not threatened by these actors at all. It’s a beautiful and refreshing change in the industry. There was a time when singers like Kishore Kumar used to sing and act in their films. We are going back to our roots and following the same trend. This initiative also helps enhance the popularity of the movie,” says Kailash.

Meanwhile, the Teri deewani hit maker also heaved a sigh of relief after the Bombay high court restrained the Mumbai Police from taking any action against him for allegedly hurting religious sentiments with his 2007 song Babam bam following a police complaint by a Ludhiana man.

The 41-year-old singer says he will continue to sing songs that will define spirituality. “I feel one should not be affected by the bad, and rather be inspired by the good. I will not be hesitant to sing spiritual songs. I will continue singing,” he adds.
