Fans of Bryan Adams who've been waiting to see the legendary rock star live on stage in Delhi tonight may be in for a disappointment, as there's news that the event may stand cancelled on account of not getting police permission.
"We've refused permission for the Bryan Adams concert. We had several objections from the very beginning," confirmed Virender Chahal, Additional Commissioner of Police (South-east).
The much awaited concert, due to take place in Okhla's NSIC grounds, has been a complete sell-out with over 20,000 tickets sold to fans from NCR and cities as far as Chandigarh and Shimla.
Adams, who is in India on a five-city concert tour, has already performed to packed houses in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.
After performing in Delhi on 15th, the Canadian rock-star, famous for all time hits such as Summer of 69, is due to perform in Hyderabad on 16th.
At the time of going to press, the organisers of the tour were still in talks with the cops to manage last-minute permissions.
"There is some confusion at the cops' end. The concert will definitely happen. We are sorting out the matter about the police permission," said Jashoda Madhavji, the official spokesperson of the organisers, Netsurf Entertainment.
