Musician, actor and visual artiste Courtney Love was recently in conversation with singer-actor Monica Dogra at the Mint Luxury Conference in Mumbai. Monica was delighted to moderate a chat with someone, who, in her own words, she has had a “relationship” with for years.

“I like taking huge concepts and bringing them back to the streets and making things accessible for everybody. So, fashion is where I’d like to collaborate with Courtney,” says Monica Dogra . (Abhijit Bhatlekar/ Mint)

“I feel like my relationship with Courtney Love as a persona, as a muse, and as a rock ‘n’ roll bada** is decades long. What I loved about meeting her was that she was exactly the same Courtney that I’ve seen in interviews,” says Monica, as she reminisces her meeting with the artiste.

In fact, she even thinks that Love is “explicit and unedited, and feels like pure rock ‘n’ roll”.

If given a chance, would Monica want to collaborate with Love?

The singer, who moderated a session with the American artiste at the recently-held Mint Luxury Conference, says she’d like to collaborate with her for a fashion project.

“Oh my god, I would kill to collaborate with her. So, Courtney had a line with a fashion brand called Nasty Young, which sold out in record time. I remember when the line came out; I was excited to see it. I wanted to own literally every piece,” says Monica.

What interested her most about the line was that it was affordable. “It’s not couture. It’s young fashion, and I’m really interested in that area of fashion. I like taking huge concepts and bringing them back to the streets and making things accessible for everybody. So, fashion is where I’d like to collaborate with Courtney,” she says.
