Croon the top US love tunes

George Gershwin's 1926's all-time classic theme, Someone To Watch Over Me, has been voted the top romantic tune in a pre-Valentine's Day poll.

An early St Valentine's Day poll, created by US music historian Scott G for website ezinearticles.com, has named George Gershwin's 1926's all-time classic theme, Someone To Watch Over Me, as the top romantic tune.

According to Contactmusic, Scott said that the tune was easy to pick as the winner, as it had been re-recorded with its original intensity many ties over by the likes of music greats Barbra Streisand and Queen Latifah among others.

Other classics to feature in the list included Unchained Melody, First Time I Ever Saw Your Face, and I Will Always Love You.
