Gasp! Honey Singh turns a Jagjit Singh ghazal into rap number

Rapper Honey Singh has sung the famous ghazal by the late Jagjit Singh Hoton Se Chu Lo from the film Prem Geet as a rap song. And, apparently, it is quite good.

Punjabi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has done the unthinkable--he has sung the iconic Jagjit Singh ghazal Hoton Se Chu Lo from Prem Geet as a rap song. The popular song stars Raj Babbar and Anita Raj. The Angrezi Beat singer is said to have transformed it into foot-tapping number, but here’s what led to Honey Singh singing the rap number.

The incident took place when Honey Singh visited the sets of Comedy Nights to mark the special episode of Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights Live. When stand-up comic Sudesh Lehri met Singh there, he challenged the singer come up with a rap version of Jagjit Singh’s famous song. To everyone’s surprise, the rapper showed hardly any hesitation and immediately came up with a new version of the song.
