Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow, who lent her vocals in the movie Country Strong, has reportedly landed a $950,000 recording deal with Atlantic Records to cut a country music album.

The 38-year-old has made a series of live performances recently, leading her to start negotiations with the record label about releasing an album, reports New York Post. “Gwyneth’s agents have been talking to a number of music labels about landing her a substantial record deal. Those who have heard the music say it’s country pop,” says a source.
"In recent weeks there have been discussions with Atlantic. Gwyneth is a very different name for Atlantic, and someone who brings a lot of recognition," the source adds. Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, most recently performed at the Oscars, singing a rendition of nominated song Coming Home from Country Strong.
The Oscar-winning actor also performed a duet with Cee Lo Green at the Grammy Awards. She entered the Billboard top 20 with her Glee performances on Forget You and a Singin' in the Rain/Umbrella mash up.
