Duff was spotted showing off her new hair colour as she stepped out to run some errands on Wednesday, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The 27-year-old actor also posted a photograph to reveal her turquoise hair on her photo-sharing website Instagram account, and captioned it: "@Ambahhh turned me into a mermaid last night... love all u girls @riawnacapri @nikkilee901 @ninezeroone xx. (sic)."

'@Ambahhh' refers to Duff's hairstylist, Amber Maynard. Besides doing Duff's hair, Maynard has a long list of other celebrities as her clients including Demi Lovato, Helen Hunt and Tommy Lee. It's still unclear if Duff's blue hair colour is a wash-out or permanent one.

Last month, Duff filed for divorce from her former hockey player husband, Mike Comrie. They have been separated for more than a year and have a son together, 23-month-old Luca.
