Lamenting that pop sensation Yo Yo Honey Singh has become too busy for him, Malkit, who is listed by The Guinness Book of Records as the biggest selling bhangra solo artist of all time, with sales of over 4.9 million records in his 20-year career, says, “Honey Singh bahut achha music director hai. I sang a song called, Beautiful, in his first album International Villager. Aaj uska naam saari duniya mein hai,” says Malkit, adding that he wants to break into Bollywood but doesn’t have contacts.

What about Honey Singh who is doing well in the film industry? “Mere chhote bhai jaisa hai. Main contact karne ki koshish karta hu, par woh busy itna ho gaya hai, time kaha hai ji uske paas,” says the singer, who is currently in India to promote his upcoming album, Sikh Hon Da Maan.
