maestro Jagjit Singh will be performing with 30 musicians in a live concert for the first time.
“I will be singing some old
ghazals
but the treatment of music will be new,” says Singh. “Ghazals seem to have faded away from the minds of listeners, off late. This is an effort to draw their attention once again towards
ghazals
; we are serving them the old wine in a new bottle,” he adds. The concert will take place on April 24, in Gurgaon.
