Miley Cyrus made fun of the US government shutdown during her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live.

The 20-year-old singer made a parody of her hit track We Can’t Stop, by calling it We Can Stop as a spoof on Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann along with Taran Killam, who acts as the Republican House Speaker John Boehner, Contactmusic reported.

The parody shows Cyrus singing La da dee la dee, Republican Party, reppin GOP, doing whatever we want, this is our house/This is our house, this is our rules, and we did stop (the government), we did stop (shut that down),” as smoke comes out of ‘Uncle Sam’s’ crotch and a toy elephant is seen bleeding ‘Pepto-Bismol’.
