My natural resting face: Ryan Reynolds on his glum face at Swift’s party

Ryan Reynolds has defended his grumpy look in the now-famous Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July photo.

Ryan Reynolds’ glum photograph during Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July bash went viral but the actor says that is his natural resting face. Reynolds says he was not having a bad time at the party as suggested by various memes of his face, reported the Entertainment Weekly.

“No, that’s a problem I’ve had all my life,” the 40-year-old actor said when asked if he was actually having a grumpy moment at that time.

“If I’m not aware a photo is being taken, my natural resting face is one of a man dying. I had no idea somebody was taking a photo. Therefore I was resting comfortably in my persona of a man whose soul is visibly exiting this earth.”

The photo shows Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, snuggling up on the actor’s lap between two other couples - including former couple Swift and Tom Hiddleston.

Lively, 29, smiles widely as she looks off into the distance, and Swift, 26, and Hiddleston, 35, gaze into each other’s eyes, Reynolds, sadly, stares off into space.
