Says publisher Nitin Ahuja, “A key thrust of the magazine is to look at present data and trends on radio, television, mobile, and Internet, which are increasingly important revenue streams for the industry.” The magazine will also serve as a platform through which stakeholders will address issues confronting the industry.

People connected to Indian music seem to be supportive of the magazine. Says musician Pritam Chakraborty, “I loved the first edition of Sound Box. It is not only a must for the music industry but also for music lovers.” Says Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, “Sound Box is the best thing to happen to the music industry. It has everything that I as a music company owner looks for in a music magazine.”
