Music maestro Shafqat Amanat Ali will perform at a live concert at Eros Hotel American Plaza, Nehru Place tonight. The event, Shafqat Amanat Ali: The Rockstar Ustad - Live In Concert, has been presented by Pink Chain Foundation and Music Today present Shafqat Amanat Ali: The Rockstar Ustad - Live In Concert.
Shafqat Amanat Ali is the son of Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, making him part of the 9 generation old Patiala Gharana. The gharana is famous for its concentration on intricate taan-patterns and sargams.
He is the voice behind Mitwa in Karan Johar’s film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Yeh Hausla in Nagesh Kuknoor’s film Dor.
He is respected among music circles due to his classically trained voice and his command over modern music. On 14th August,2007 Shafqat Amanat Ali was presented the President's Pride of Performance.

The Award was conferred upon him following the judgement of a Jury comprising of the most prominent & celebrated figures of the entertainment industry.
