MAHAD: A day after it was reported that 29 persons were feared dead in the Mahad tragedy, rescuers on Thursday recovered 15 bodies, including that of the Jaigad-Mumbai state transport (ST) bus driver and two women travelling in a Tavera car. A total of 42 people are missing after an old bridge on the Savitri river was swept away on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, giving in to demands by opposition parties, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Thursday announced that his government would conduct a judicial probe into the collapse.
