SHIMLA: Panic gripped Sanjauli area of the Himachal Pradesh capital after a youth’s body was found outside Bollywood actress Preity Zinta’s house on Sunday.
The youth was found dead at the open space in front of the building — Neel Kunj — owned by Zinta’s mother, Neel Prabha, in the North Oak area of Sanjauli. The deceased has been identified as Karan Deep, of Nabha in Punjab, who was a guest of Zinta’s tenant.
Sources in the police said the flat, which is on the third floor, had been rented out since 2015 to two youths working in a private firm. The incident occurred on Saturday night. “Prima facie, it appears to be a case of heavy drinking, which caused the youth to fall down from the balcony,” additional superintendent of police, BD Negi, said.
