NEW DELHI: The CBI on Saturday detained a senior officer of the ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) in an alleged bribery case of Rs 9 lakh involving grant of favours to a private firm. The accused officer, BK Bansal, the director general of corporate affairs in the ministry, was “apprehended” along with a private person, Vishwadeep Bansal, at a city-based hotel.
