KANPUR: Authorities will now arrest any person who tries to approach the accident-prone Ganga barrage, a move that comes following the recent incident in which seven youth lost their lives while taking a selfie. According to the district administration’s estimate, since September 2015, 24 people, mostly youth, have lost their lives at the site. The district administration has provisioned the arrest of anyone who goes beyond the slope at the Ganga barrage.
