THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Subramanian Swamy on Saturday downplayed his dress code remark, saying it was not intended to target anyone. On Friday, he tweeted that the party should direct all its ministers to “wear traditional and modernised Indian clothes” while abroad. “I was talking about our country’s traditional dress culture. I wasn’t aware that one of our senior ministers was abroad when I made this remark. Tweet was not aimed at anyone,” he said, adding Arun Jaitley was one of the best dressed. “If I want to target anyone, I do it openly. In fact, Jaitley looks very smart in coat,” he said.
