BENGALURU: Nine children travelling to school in Karnataka’s Udupi district died after their van was hit by a private bus on Tuesday morning, police said. “Seventeen students were going to Don Bosco School on the outskirts of Gangolli when a Vijaylakshmi Travels bus driven rashly and negligently struck the van, resulting in the death of the nine children,” a local police official said. The accident took place near Trasi village. The dead include three boys and six girls aged between five and 15.
