PATNA: Six ‘kanwariyas’, returning from Deoghar in Jharkhand, were mowed down by a speeding truck in Jamui district on Tuesday. The incident took place when the driver of a sand-laden truck lost control after its front tyre burst and overturned on the pilgrims sitting on the roadside. Eight other pilgrims were also seriously injured in the incident. The devotees were returning from Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar, where they had gone to offer prayers.
