The young leader was welcomed by people of the Patel Patidar community, the moment he entered the city the people began shouting “Jai Sardar – Jai Patidar”.

Patel, who will be staying in BJP-ruled Rajasthan for the next six months, at a press conference said he would work for the uplift of the peasant community of the state. “I’m here to serve the people in the best possible way. I will raise my voice for their rights and through this, will get to work for people of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh,” said Patel.

“I’m not eligible to fight an election. No party will field me. I’m also not interested in anti-BJP publicity but the government is discouraging people from demanding reservations for their development and I will stick to my demand,” said Patel.
