1 dead, 15 hurt in Visakhapatnam tanker explosion

VISAKHAPATNAM: One worker was killed and 15 others injured on Tuesday when a chemical tanker exploded at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant here, police said.

VISAKHAPATNAM: One worker was killed and 15 others injured on Tuesday when a chemical tanker exploded at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant here, police said. The incident took place at around 11 am in Parawada Mandal on the city’s outskirts. About 35 workers were on duty when the tanker containing ammonia exploded, said B Ramanamurty, circle inspector, Parawada Police station. The deceased worker has not yet been identified.
