NEW DELHI: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Friday raised the issue of India’s meat export with the NDA government at the Centre. VHP joint secretary Surendra Jain said the Parishad has conveyed its concerns over the growing meat exports and declining human-animal ratio and is hopeful the government will consider their demand of regulating slaughterhouses. He also demanded that the UP government register a case of cow slaughter against the family of Mohamad Ikhlaq, who was lynched by a mob in Dadri last year on the suspicion of storing beef.
