The CM also directed the company directors to cooperate and provide necessary information if they don’t want to face action, sources said.

While Gurgaon town and country planning officials will prepare a project-wise report, the government will analyse the findings submitted by the National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM) about the financial health of Unitech. The NIFM was roped in April after the CM said that a committee be formed under the deputy commissioner of Gurgaon to take stock of the assets and liabilities of the company.

On April 10, 2016, the CM chairing a similar grievance meeting had initiated action against the company to save the investment of thousands of apartment buyers in the ailing company.

DTCP officials also said that recent directions of the CM were aimed at bringing the issue to a conclusion.

To prepare the report, DTCP officials will visit every site, and communicate with representatives of the apartment buyers in each project.

The district administration meanwhile said that it had received the NIFM report. “We have sent the report to additional chief secretary, town and country planning department, who will analyse the report and make recommendations. It is confidential and the details can’t be shared,” said TL Satyaprakash, deputy commissioner, Gurgaon.

Senior Unitech officials present in the grievance meeting agreed to cooperate with authorities, and provide necessary information.
