“If we improve quality of services at tourism destinations in any state, we can tap international tourists in a big way. For example, if we streamline hygiene levels, safety and other services, we can certainly attract more foreign tourists at all tourist destinations. And it goes for places Uttar Pradesh too, which are not serviced well,” Wadhawan said at an event in Noida.

The ministry of commerce and industry will organise a global exhibition on services from April 17-20 at Greater Noida’s India Expo Centre & Mart.

“Today, we have organised this Noida event to make stakeholders aware of our exhibition so that they can participate and make good use of the event. Such events are also being organised in many cities to make people aware of the exhibition,” Sangeeta Saxena, additional economic adviser, ministry of commerce and industries, said.

To begin with, the officials screened a film on a global exhibition on services and, later, they spoke of the objectives of the event.
