Uttar Pradesh's three industrial development authorities - Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway on Wednesday allocated Rs. 19, 649 crore for annual budget-2014-15.
The Noida authority in its board meeting approved Rs. 9, 212 crore annual budget for financial year 2014-15. The authority will spend whopping Rs. 5, 009 crore on developing infrastructure mainly metro projects underway in this region.
Noida’s last year budget was Rs. 10, 000 crore. The Greater Noida authority allocated Rs. 7, 011.37 crore for financial year 2014-15. The Yamuna Expressway industrial development authority allocated Rs. 3426 crore for the same financial year.
“This budget would lay special emphasis on new infrastructure projects fund allocation. Extending metro connectivity further deep into Noida, and Greater Noida, improving connectivity between Noida and Delhi with new bridge to be build across Yamuna are some of the priority projects for this financial year,” said Rama Raman chairman of three industrial authorities- Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway.
Three authorities will mark the year 2014 as ‘infrastructure development year’ said officials.
The authority has allocated Rs. 1750 crore for land acquisition. The Noida authority will spend Rs 1, 500 crore on three metro projects.
These metro projects are from Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj to Noida’s Botanical Garden, City Center to sector 62 towards NH-24 and from City Center to Noida Extension.
To improve power supply mechanism, the authority would spend Rs. 500 crore on building 2 new power sub-stations in Noida. Rs. 250 crore will be spent on upgrading policing infrastructure in Gautam Budh Nagar district. Rs. 600 crore is allocated for water and sewage network maintenance. And Rs. 450 crore will be set aside for other works that can be done to address residents’ complaints related with civic amenities said officials.

{{/usCountry}}“Work on a multi-level parking project in sector 18, hospital building in sector 39, City Center underpass and girls degree college in sector 51 inaugurated by CM last year is in full swing,” said another official.
The authority has allocated Rs. 200 core for sector 18 six storey multi-level car parking, Rs. 200 crore for elevated road and underpass projects, Rs. 300 crore for road strengthening, Rs. 250 crore for village development, Rs. 50 crore for Yamuna bridge project, Rs. 50 crore for bus terminal in sector 144, Rs. 100 crore for Ganga water project, Rs. 100 crore for recreational facilities development, Rs. 50 crore for slum development, Rs. 85 crore for traffic improvement, Rs. 50 crore sports stadium development and R 1100 crore for urban heath facilities development.
