The authority took this decision, when a group of farmers met with the Noida authority chief executive officer Rama Raman, who assured them of re-launch of the scheme.

The plot scheme, meant for farmers, whose land the authority had acquired for urbanisation prior to 1997, was first launched on July 2011. But the scheme got cancelled midway owing to the controversy pertaining to eligibility of a farmer, who can apply for it. Therefore, eligible farmers suffered for last two years, and kept protesting for the re-launch of the same scheme again.

“But this scheme could not be re-launched because of frequent transfers of the top officials at the Noida authority. Later in 2012 March regime got changed in Uttar Pradesh, and farmers again left with no option but to wait. But now we will resolve all eligibility issues in our board meeting to be held in November to make way for scheme re-launch,” said a senior Noida authority official, requesting anonymity.

“To resolve all farmers’ issue we have decided to soon re-launch this 910 plot scheme for farmers so that all Noida development projects including FNG Expressway, Noida Expressway service lane and others put on fast-track with farmers help,” said official.

Way back in 2011, total 3900 farmers had applied for this plot scheme. Farmers had applied by showing their property documents to be eligible for the scheme. But it had caught controversy when a group of farmers had claimed several ineligible farmers had applied.

“To ensure that only eligible farmers get the plots, and a chance to apply. We will draft new patterns and norms, which will be first passed in our November board meeting. Norms and pattern will be passed with the consent of farmers,” said official.

“We had also demanded that the authority start resolving our Abadi land disputes. CEO Rama Raman has assured us to resolve all issues including of Abadi, 910 plot scheme and village development,” said Raghwendra Dube.
