Calm Bhullar completes hattrick

Happy to play even and let others take the initiative, Bhullar kept his lead largely unchallenged through the front nine. Of the three trailing him by six strokes at the start, SSP Chowrasia was with par up to that point, Sanjay Kumar dropped four shots and Rahil Gangjee birdied the ninth to trim Bhullar's lead for the first time, just by a stroke.

It remained that way until Gangjee and Chowrasia birdied the 14th. With Bhullar four ahead and four holes remaining, the Kolkata duo birdied the next two as well amid cheers from home fans.
