Gabriel, Charlotte clinch titles

The 19th Himalayan 100-mile stage race concluded in the Darjeeling district on Oct 30 with Gabriel Santamaria Manso (Spain) winning the title in a time of 15 hours and 22 min. James Antony Lowe (UK), with a time of 17:05, came second, while Beungsik Ahn (Korea) came third.

In the women's section, Charlotte Louisa Penfold (UK) with a time of 18:43 emerged winner followed by Nahila Hernandez (Spa) and Tracey Robertson (UK).

Adventurers from 15 countries including USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Denmark, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, Korea and South Africa took part in the event, which is the world's most challenging and toughest endurance events with 'AAA' rating.
