In an absorbing final, IOC Garhwal Heroes ousted newcomers VVIP Goodwill FC 1-0 to clinch the 2012-13 DLF-ONGC, DSA Senior Division league championship title. Nigerian striker Joseph Camara, in his first season with the club, scored the match-winner in the 47th minute, heading in a measured cross from the right by midfielder Lalit Rawat.
This is Garhwal Heroes’ second DSA league title. They had last won the title in 1986.

With Tamil Nadu refusing to host the Asian Athletics Championships, government is mulling shifting the premier event to Delhi, Pune or Ranchi. “We have given a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs to shift the event to Delhi, Pune of Ranchi,” sports minister Jitendra Singh said.
