Himmat Rai stole the limelight by taking the second round clubhouse lead at the Iskandar Johor Open on Friday with tournament marquee name K.J. Choi hot on his heels.
Rai only had 30 minutes to rest after completing first round and was in superb form as he posted a five-under-par 67 for a two-day total of 131 at the Royal Johor Country Club.
Tour honourary member Choi and one-time winner Darren Beck of Australia were a further stroke back after they posted matching 64s for a 132 total. Inclement weather continued to affect play, causing officials to reduce it to a 54-hole stroke play tournament.
Rashid wins Singapore Amateur

Teeing off on Friday a stroke behind overnight leader Srinampattusam of Thailand, Delhi golfer Rashid Khan fired a two-under par 70 to finish with a tally of seven-under par en route to the Singapore Amateur Championship 2009.
Rashid's teammate Abhishek Jha finished 10th, which allowed India to finish third in the team event. Ranked No 1 on the Indian Golf Union's Order of Merit, Rashid was in good nick as he bagged his third international title.
Bajaj clinches Chandigarh Open
Chandigarh: A late turnaround saw Rahul Bajaj come from three shots behind to win the LG Samarvir Sahi Chandigarh Open. Overnight leader Abhinav Lohan’s halfway meltdown through the final round saw him fall behind Bajaj, who came from behind to win the title with a total of six-over 294. Lohan finished one shot behind him at seven-over 295.
