"It's too early to judge. Any event which is organized at such a large scale, do face problems but we are hopeful that the organizers will host a very successful Games," said Laurie Patterson, research assistant with the university and one of the 14-member team that arrived in Delhi ten days back. The volunteers who are studying physical education, sport development and sports and exercise science will be given sports specific volunteering work during the Games. Three students of the varsity will represent UK in the track and field events. The team is yet to receive any communication from the organizing committee about the nature of work. They are expecting a brief by next week. "It is through events like these that students get international exposure,” said Angela Batty, group leader of the team.
