PV Sindhu launched the Indian Badminton League’s School Program-me initiative, ‘Shuttle Expre-ss’. The school championship in will be held on July 17-18 at the Pullela Gopichand Academy. The city winners in the boys and girls singles categori-es will play the national finals during the IBL in August.
Sahara India buys Lucknow badminton franchise
Lucknow: Sahara India joined the Indian Badminton League (IBL) buying the Lucknow franchise ahead of the inaugural event to be played from August 14 to 31. Each franchise will host a two-day leg and the $1 million event will have a grand total of 90 matches. The top four will advance to the semi-finals.

The AIFF had taken a decision that clubs now must pay R1 lakh as registration fees and pay for travel and accommodation.
