Trident Group-IPG, despite starting as favourites, lost a neck-and-neck contest which went right into the extra fifth chukker and was finally decided by a golden goal from Jindals' Argentinian import Miguel Saravia, who tucked a 30-yard penalty into the rival goal to signal wild celebrations in the Jindals camp. But before Saravia's goal, it was Trident Group-IPG which held sway and looked like making it a one-sided contest. Angad (1) and Bedla (2) hammered in three goals in the first chukker to take a handsome 3-1 lead.

But a one-two between Simran Shergill and Akhil Sirohi saw the latter reduce the margin early in the second chukker and then Saravia scored the equaliser from a set piece.

With the teams tied at 4-4 after the final chukker, the match went into the fifth chukker and Saravia scored the golden goal.
