The Indian now takes on Czech Republic's Miroslav Serban who defeated Nuwan Thennakoon of Sri Lanka 16-10 in his opening round.

Round two of the championship will begin Sunday when four Indian boxers - Suranjoy Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Vikas Krishnan - will stake a claim to make it to the round of 16.
