Tiger Woods withdrew from his own event, the AT&T National Tournament, on doctor's orders on Wednesday, saying he was still not fully recovered from knee and ankle injuries.

Woods, who has not played since pulling out of the Players' Championship last month, said on his Twitter account that he would still attend the tournament in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania but would not be playing.

"Doctor's orders: sitting out the #attnational. I'll be in Philly to support the event. Feeling stronger every day, but not 100 per cent," he tweeted.

The 14-time major winner aggravated his left knee and Achilles tendon during the Masters at Augusta in April and missed last week's US Open, won by Rory McIlro
