"People are fed up with the dictatorial style of functioning of Kumar in Bihar where bureaucracy has virtually usurped the administration," he said.

Apologising for mistakes his party made while in power in Bihar for 15 years, Prasad ruled out taking back deserters like Shyam Rajak and Ramai Ram. Rajak and Ram contested the bypolls to Fulwari and Bochaha assembly seats on ruling JD(U) tickets, but lost with both the seats being recaptured by RJD.

On the poor show of the RJD-LJP alliance in the last Lok Sabha polls, Prasad said it was because of 'undue haste and lack of time' the alliance failed to take off fully. "After we (he and Ramvilas Paswan) made the people aware of the sinister design of communal and fascist forces ruining Bihar, people have voted in favour of our alliance," he said.
