Eleven youths, including a IITian and two NIT students, were held on Sunday for alleged irregularities in examination for recruitment in Steel Authority of India.

Inspector General of Police (Operation) Amit Kumar said that examination was being held for graduate trainees in mechanical branch of SAIL.

He said the gang had provided mobile phone looking like wrist watch to 25-30 examinees. Four students of reputed Engineering institutions were hired for solving papers outside and providing answers to them on their mobile through SMSes.
Among them one is from IIT Guwahati, two fron NIT Patna and one from National Institute of Technology and Forge Technology Ranchi, the IG said.
