Guru Purnima is being observed across the country today, July 3. It is celebrated on the day of the full moon (Purnima) during the Ashadha month (June-July). The word "Guru" means teacher or spiritual guide, and "Purnima" means full moon. The festival is being celebrated with great fervour today in Prayagraj, the king of pilgrimages. (PTI)
