Heavy rain continues to lash several parts of Delhi-NCR, causing waterlogging and traffic jams. The national capital witnessed a new record as it was reported to have received 74 mm rainfall till 8:30 am on Sunday - the second highest in the month of October since 2007, as per news agency PTI, which cited the IMD (India Meteorological Department). Rain also lashed nearby cities such as Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad, which are part of the NCR (National Capital Region), on Saturday. The intensity is expected to drop by Monday.
