Mizoram went to polls today with 209 candidates in the fray for the 40-member legislative assembly. Voting began at 7 am and ended at 4 pm. Voting in some booths was delayed due to faults in 42 VVPATs, 19 control units and 25 ballot units. 58% voter turnout was recorded till 3 pm according to the office of the chief electoral officer. Voting in some booths was delayed due to faults in 42 VVPATs, 19 control units and 25 ballot units. 58% voter turnout was recorded till 3 pm according to the office of the chief electoral officer.
