The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday put into orbit the Emisat, an electronic intelligence satellite for the DRDO. Notable aspects of this mission were the flying of a new variant of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV); switching off and on the fourth stage engine couple of times; and the use of the fourth stage as an orbital platform carrying three experimental payloads. Facebook Inc said on Monday it was removing 687 pages and accounts linked to the main opposition Congress party, just days before voting begins in a general election, because of “coordinated inauthentic behaviour” on the social media platform. Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted Congress over coining the term “Hindu Terrorism” without naming the Samjhauta Express blast case.
