A bus carrying 45 students from a local computer centre in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district met with an accident near Samleta in Nagrota Suriyan, around 45 kilometres from Dharamsala. At least 35 students are said to have been injured when the private bus ferrying them skidded off the road. (ANI Twitter)

The Lok Sabha began debate on a revised bill to make the Muslim practice of instant triple talaq illegal and a punitive offence amid reservations by opposition parties. Introducing the bill Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said it was not against any community or religion. Several places in Himachal Pradesh, including Manali and Kalpa, witnessed fresh snowfall on Wednesday night. 15 miners remain trapped in the Ksan coal mine in East Jaintia Hills district since December 13. A team of three divers had gone inside the 320-350 feet deep tunnel and a source said one of the three reported the foul smell. Foul smell could be a result of the fact that pumping has stopped since Monday and water is stagnating,” said Santosh Singh, who is supervising the operations on the spot. (ANI)
